3M 4200 Fast Cure Marine Adhesive / Sealant is a one-part general purpose polyurethane delivers flexible bonds with good adhesion to wood, fiberglass, gelcoat, certain plastics and metals.
3M MARINE ADHESIVE/ SEALANT FAST CURE 4200 – A one-part, general all-purpose polyurethane that chemically reacts with moisture to deliver flexible bonds with good adhesion to wood, fiberglass, gelcoat, plastics and metals. Ideal for rub-rails, stern-joints, deck and through-hull fittings, and access plates. Forms watertight, weather-resistant seals on joints and boat hardware above or below the waterline. This product is approximately half the strength of 3M™ Marine Adhesive Sealant 5200, which allows for disassembly of parts. Becomes tack free in 1-2 hours and fully cures in 24 hours. Product is sold by the 3 oz. or 10 oz. tube.
NOTE: On plastics, test 3M™ Marine Adhesive/Sealant Fast Cure 4200 to determine suitability. When very high strength or unremovable bonds are required, use 3M™ Marine Adhesive/Sealant 5200 or 3M™ Marine Adhesive/Sealant Fast Cure 5200. Not recommended for sealing wood decks because it may be permanently softened by certain teak cleaners or sealers.
